He was nice and quick
Dec-2024
Did not have effective communication. I left without understanding the prescription and the way forward. I went in for readers and was prescribed tri-focal lenses after sharing I did not want progressive lenses yet. I felt rushed. The technician Helene was great as was the glasses tech but I left the Orcutt clinic with far too much doubt

I really enjoyed my visit with dr Hetland. He is very knowledgeable and informative. 12 out of 10 stars for sure.
Dec-2024
Bumbling, awkward, impersonal.
I had to tell him during refraction that the lenses were not pointed at the eye chart to be in the middle of my vision for me to see it with both eyes.
This was my 1st time being seen by him. He said some things about my eye pressure (even though I am already being treated with Lantanoprost by Dr. Amir), and comments that were UNnecessary and disconcerting about images in my file. Those were not welcome nor helpful, esp. since he's not an ophthalmalogist.

Very professional.

He was very nice. He answered all my questions and concerns of family history of macular degeneration. Also, I was glad I had my eye dilated it showed more finding in my vision test.
