Loren Rude, O.D., is an experienced and innovative optometrist with over 25 years in ophthalmic care, surgical co-management, and medical education. Dr. Rude has held leadership roles in both private practice and surgical centers, helping launch multiple LASIK and premium cataract programs across Southern California. He has also served as a clinical director, educator, and partner at several high-volume refractive practices, where he built strong networks with referring optometrists and consistently enhanced patient outcomes.
A frequent lecturer at professional education events, Dr. Rude has presented on advanced intraocular lenses (IOLs), meibomian gland dysfunction, and emerging technologies in surgical eye care. His work as a clinical researcher includes participation in multiple FDA and Phase 4 studies involving dry eye, corneal treatments, and refractive surgery.

Very personable. Was patient and would take the time to explain each step of the procedure and made me feel very much at ease and comfortable.
