I was really impressed by the entire experience at Northwest Eye. I brought my teenager in for their first eye exam and Dr. Ellingson and assistant were professional, while taking extra time to explain the process to my slightly anxious kid. The experience was in stark contrast with the remote exams I schedule for myself in recent years.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr Ellingson. She is absolutely fantastic—kind, incredibly thorough, and genuinely attentive. I felt truly heard and never rushed and she took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable and confident in my care. I will wholeheartedly be recommending her to all of my friends and family.

She went on to complete three externships at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center, Chu Vision Institute, and Compton Eye Associates, along with an internship at University Eye Clinic at SUNY Optometry. Dr. Ellingson completed her residency in Ocular and Refractive Surgery at Chu Vision Institute. Her education and work history are representative of her commitment to provide the best vision possible for all her patients.
In her spare time, Dr. Ellingson and her husband like to spend time with family and friends, try new restaurants in the Twin Cities, cook, and travel.
