Long wait to be seen for a cataract surgery just to have her look in eye. Schedule should be done different.

Was friendly and efficient performing a second follow up to a cataract surgery.
My eye felt unusual for 5-6 hours after the doc and another tech performed the assessment. My eye was dilated for the procedures and stayed quite blurry for a longer than I expect time and I had some unusual sight. After about 9 hours, the blurriness went away and things seemed more normal.

Everyone was very nice and professional. Her assistant was very friendly. She made the visit enjoyable. Very little waiting time and answered all my questions.

Dr. Boots earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Winnipeg and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry. She has completed four externships: The Eye Centers of South Florida Dan and Hoffman, Miami, FL, the Illinois Eye Institute, Chicago, IL, Boyco Image Optometry, Vancouver, and William Chapel Jr. Veterans Outpatient Clinic, Daytona Beach, FL. Following graduation, Dr. Boots worked with ophthalmologists in Indiana, seeing a lot of complex ocular disease such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy and doing pre and post op surgical care.
Dr. Boots is an active member in the Optometry community and is currently a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and the National Optometric Association.
Dr. Boots is fluent in English and French, both spoken and written. She is a former volunteer soccer coach for the Special Olympics Manitoba (2014-2015), where she worked with children with special needs to coordinate practices, exercise drills, and games to ultimately encourage the athletes to participate and communicate using specialized communications devices. Dr. Boots is a former competitive gymnast as well, representing team Manitoba 2004-2008. She coached and mentored aspiring gymnastics following her career in gymnastics. When she is not working, Dr. Boots likes to spend time with her family and friends, try new restaurants, and travel whenever possible.
