Dr. Allison Coll, O.D. grew up outside of Philadelphia and completed her undergraduate degree at Penn State University. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. While in optometry school, she completed externships with various optometry and ophthalmology practices in Philadelphia, Charleston, Savannah, and the VA Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Dr. Coll completed her optometry residency focused in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, and low vision at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. .
Dr. Coll is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association as well as the Southwest Florida Optometric Association.
Upon joining Snead Eye Group in July, 2020. Dr. Coll brings her knowledge and expertise in primary eye care. She enjoys all aspects of eye care including comprehensive exams, pre and post-operative care of cataract, eyelid, and glaucoma surgeries, as well as ocular disease management .
Dr. Coll also works closely with primary care physicians and Internal Medicine Specialist to build awareness of the importance of an annual eye exams for all patients, especially diabetic patients and all other patients at high risk.
She will continue Snead Eye Group’s educational outreach by providing lectures and complementary vision screenings throughout the area.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cheering on all of the Philadelphia sports teams, and soaking up the Florida sunshine.
