I didn’t see him for long and I didn’t have any real eye issues. I felt confident and comfortable with our appointment. I plan to continue with him next year-this was my first meeting ever. He did take a precautionary x-ray to have a baseline assessments for future glaucoma watches.

After being tested tests on several different machines it would have been nice to know what each of them indicate in terms of my eye health. Dr Ehlen explained the general effect myopic degeneration associated with age but I didn't really come away with a clear summary of my condition. He only recommended I set up another visit in 6 months with Dr. Kruthoff. I do understand that doctors are very pressed for time. Still, my impression is that Dr Ehlen is very competent and relatable.

We have been seeing Dr. Ehlen for many many years and find him to be a very compassionate doctor with excellent skills. He removed our cataracts for my husband and myself about 15 years ago and did an excellent job. We are both 80 years old now and don't need to wear glasses.

Every aspect of having cataract surgery was handled so well. From the conversation with Dr. Ehlen in the beginning to the final outpatient appointment…an AWESOME Experience!!

Really trust him and believe he is very knowledgeable, but I wish he would share more specifics about test results and exams.. often will just state there were changes in results and he is watching it, but doesn’t explain what those are, causes, and possible ramifications…

Prior to this appointment I experienced three serious eye infections after annual visits at Northwest Eye. It resulted in six days of extreme discomfort and having to go on prednisone for five days. I had made the decision to go to another eye clinic. My sister sees Dr.Ehlen and mentioned my difficulty to him at an appointment and he stated he knew what the problem was and would work with me. I decided to go one more time. I worked with Dr. Ehlen and staff and they eliminated some of the drops, and were very cautious in dealing with my eyes. I am happy to say that I had no allergic reaction. Thank you!
