Dr. Steven Fish, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist with advanced expertise in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He specializes in complex cataract procedures utilizing premium intraocular lenses, as well as the latest laser and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS). Performing over 2,000 surgeries annually, Dr. Fish is recognized as one of California’s most experienced eye surgeons.
Dr. Fish completed his undergraduate education at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he graduated with distinction. He went on to earn his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond. Following medical school, he completed his ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown and pursued advanced fellowship training in glaucoma surgery with Acuity Eye Group in California.
Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Fish has always led an active and service-oriented life—earning the rank of Eagle Scout and becoming a state champion in Greco-Roman wrestling. During his college years, he played rugby and developed a passion for teamwork and leadership. In 2019, he moved to California with his wife and their two children. Outside the clinic, Dr. Fish enjoys playing golf, relaxing at the beach, and exploring local parks with his family. He also speaks medical Spanish, which helps him connect more deeply with a diverse patient population.
