He is actively involved in research and is a Principal Investigator for many national clinical trials through Loma Linda University, including the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research, and is a sub-investigator of numerous other clinical research trials. He serves as an active assistant professor at Loma Linda University and at the Riverside University Health Sciences.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Christian Ophthalmology Society.
Dr. Kim is fluent in English, Korean, and medical Spanish.
