After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University, Dr. Weiss went on to obtain his medical degree with a distinction in research from the University of Rochester in New York. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas in San Antonio and his fellowship at the University of Miami’s premier Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Dr. Weiss is a member of the Academy of Ophthalmology and has authored numerous publications. He was recognized by the University of Texas as the 2021-2022 Ophthalmology Resident of the Year.
In his free time, Dr. Weiss is often outdoors, and enjoys swimming, camping, hiking, and biking.

I went to Dr. Weiss for a second opinion because I felt like the first doctor I saw was forcing me into surgery. Dr. Weiss patiently explained to me the need for the procedure but also gave me options so that I felt it was my decision, not his. As a result, I have decided to have him perform the surgery when I am ready. I would definitely recommend Dr. Weiss.
