After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University, Dr. Weiss went on to obtain his medical degree with a distinction in research from the University of Rochester in New York. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas in San Antonio and his fellowship at the University of Miami’s premier Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Dr. Weiss is a member of the Academy of Ophthalmology and has authored numerous publications. He was recognized by the University of Texas as the 2021-2022 Ophthalmology Resident of the Year.
In his free time, Dr. Weiss is often outdoors, and enjoys swimming, camping, hiking, and biking.

I didn’t feel like I was taken seriously from the start until I kept bringing up the symptoms I was experiencing and explaining what previous doctor prescriptions I had tried. I had to ask questions or bring up my ailments multiple times they would get addressed, and had I not insisted on getting answers I believe they would have been overlooked. The questions I had asked ultimately changed the treatment plan moving forward, which made me lack confidence in my diagnosis and treatment moving forward.
