I believe that Dr Lippas is one of the best Ophthalmologists in the DFW area. However, to take 2 hours to complete an appointment visit is excessive. I believe he needs to have a better scheduler or increase the time allotted for each appointment. In my experience, the long waits in the waiting areas and rooms have been a consistent issue.

Dr Lippas was very professional and answered all my questions. His expertise is evident . I would have rated 5 stars if it was clear that Dr Lippas had washed or disinfected his hands before the exam .

Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M in 1979, he obtained his Medical Degree from the UT Health Science Center at Houston in 1983. Dr. Lippas continued his medical journey with an internship in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in 1984, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at UTHSC Southwestern Medical School from 1984 to 1987. Furthering his expertise, Dr. Lippas completed a two-year retinal fellowship at the Vitreo Retinal Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee in 1994.
With nearly 30 years of private practice experience, he now specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical retina conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinal vein occlusion, retinal tears, and macular edema. Dr. Lippas’ dedication to providing exceptional care ensures that patients receive personalized treatment strategies aimed at preserving and enhancing their vision and overall quality of life.
