Dr. Hansen and his surgical team provided exceptional care during my beloved mother’s left eye cataract surgery. From the beginning, they were professional, compassionate, and reassuring throughout the entire process. The surgery went smoothly, and my mother was amazed at how quick and painless the procedure was.
What truly stood out to our family was Dr. Hansen’s kindness and dedication. To my surprise, he personally called me on the evening after the surgery to follow up and check on how my mother was doing. That thoughtful gesture meant a great deal to us and showed how deeply he cares for his patients.
Dr. Hansen clearly has a passion for helping people and goes above and beyond in providing outstanding patient care. We are truly grateful for the excellent treatment and highly recommend him to anyone seeking eye care or cataract surgery.

After a one-year residency at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Following his residency, he was selected to be the Chief Resident where he was involved with resident education and surgical training.
Dr. Hansen performs cataract and intraocular lens implant surgery, corneal transplants and other surgeries for patients with corneal diseases, along with a variety of glaucoma procedures. He also performs refractive surgery, including laser vision correction procedures such as LASIK and PRK as well as refractive lens implant surgery.
His hobbies include spending time with his wife and kids. He enjoys coaching little league basketball and soccer and attending dance and gymnastic performances. As a family, they enjoy traveling and exploring new cites. He also likes to spend his free time playing basketball and attending or watching college sporting events.
