He saw me on TWO HOURS NOTICE. He was terse yet took time to explain what was happening with my eye in a way I understood. Still amazed he took time to see me on such short notice.

From the time I walked through the front door, I felt perfectly comfortable. Both of the doctor’s assistants were terrific as was the doctor himself. My wife had been a patient of the doctor’s and she knew I would enjoy the experience. She was right.

Dr. Nejad is very friendly, takes the time to explain everything in detail, and asks if you have any questions at all. He did an excellent job with the cataract/laser surgery (along with an advanced lens choice). I highly recommend him !

Dr. Rahmatnejad was born and raised in Iran. He earned his doctorate degree from Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in Hamdan, Iran, where he was recognized as the top student in his class of 2006 followed by an Ophthalmology residency in Tehran, Iran. He practiced as a comprehensive Ophthalmologist for 5 years before pursuing his advanced fellowship training in Glaucoma clinical research at the esteemed Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He further completed an additional residency in Ophthalmology in Virginia followed by a year of Glaucoma Fellowship at the prestigious University of California in San Diego.
Dr. Rahmatnejad actively participates in professional organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and America Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery among others.
With his extraordinary surgical and clinical skills, dedication to research, and compassionate approach to patient care, Dr. Kamran Rahmatnejad is proud to serve the Norwest Eye Community.
