John E. Bokosky, M.D., F.A.C.S.

This is my 3rd appt for cataract surgery and there was no acknowledgement that I had previous appts. The office called last minute and cancelled 3 other appointments. Very disappointed organized environment. Waiting room very crowded and loud. Non friendly staff.

Wanted to be thorough, which is a good thing! Personable.

My experience with Dr. Bokosky was great. My problem was the wait time. Had appt at 9:30, I arrived at 9:20. Was seen at 10:15. Eyes were dilated had to go back to the waiting area and was called back again at 11:45. The wait times were ridicoulus.

I have keratoconus with cataracts. He knew more about this than any other Dr I have seen. The surgery went very well and the improvement is better than expected.

The new Sorrento Valley office is close to my home and the wait time is night and day better then Hillcrest.

Wait time is long- but definitely worth it. Dr. Bokowski is an amazing physician. Takes his time, asks questions, listens, and most of all is a eminent ophthalmologist. Highly recommended!

I was graciously fit in to the schedule today. Dr. Bokosky was known bd, clear and explained the condition of my eye. He did not hesitate to move ahead even removing sutures on this first visit in an effort and with a plan to improve my vision. My glaucoma specialist whom I trust recommended him as one of the best corneal specialists in San Diego.

As always Dr Bokosky was wonderful! He listened to and addressed to all my concerns. I definitely will recommend him to anyone!

Not a friendly doctor. A kind of rude doctor as well as his nurse.

The only problem I have is the long way in the waiting room after we once get there specially if you have another doctors appointment and hour and a half later

Great Doctor. Very friendly, informative and explains things well. This is my second surgery with him and I am extremely happy!

The care is excellent. Questions are thoroughly answered. You A concern is the waiting time, it doesn't matter if you have an appointment when they first open; I will wait, at least 30 minutes. Appears, multiple patients are simultaneously or nearly simultaneously scheduled. On surgery days then waits of 2 hours or more are common. And the waiting room is often very crowded to the point of overflow. Mechanisms exist to reduce these wait times.

Dr Bokosky is masterful.

Abrasive manner, impatient, poor communication - gave no explanations about eye tests he or his assistant made, no feedback give to me on possible diagnoses. Was at the clinic for over one and a half hours and had barely 15 minutes with Dr Boskosky.

Dr. B is the best! I've been a patient for years have complete trust in him.

Provided information and appeared to conduct available tests for potential condition.

It is so refreshing and rewarding to be back in the care of Dr. Bokosky after he very accurately sent me to the care of Retina Consultants many years ago. Now stable, I can look forward to necessary vision correction and heathy eyes.

Explanation of the procedure he wanted to do was short and he never gave me the opportunity to ask any questions. I was handed a pamphlet as he walked immediately out of the room making me feel like I was dismissed by him!
