Very professional

The surgery went well and Dr. Wang made sure I knew what to expect in the surgery. The Madison Street Surgery center was great - smooth, organized and helpful. There were some hiccups with the front office and pre-op information with the recent merger of Omni Eye and ICON, but that should get worked out.

I waited 1 hour and 20 min past my appointment time before seeing Dr. Wang. No explanation. No apology. His focus on my care was excellent. I have no issue whatsoever w my care. It was the unprecedented wait time and no explanation or apology that drives my two star rating.

Patient, kind, informative, comforting, skilled. Can’t say enough about him. Something has changed with the practice administratively, however. I had three evaluations over a long period of time; all were very professional and helpful, including getting set for cataract surgeries, follow-up appointments, and instructions. Then everything fell apart. Prescriptions were not called in, surgeries and follow-ops were not on their books, and I didn’t receive notification of my first procedure time. I called the office repeatedly for two days, getting sent to voicemail over and over. I was told twice that my prescriptions were sent in but my pharmacy never received them. I had to physically go to the office to get imy prescriptions straightened out. Staff members are great but seem like they don’t have the access they need to patient information to effectively address concerns and provide excellent customer service. An administrative nightmare; never had an experience like it.

I appreciate the narrative through everything he did help me feel like I knew what was going on. I was so nervous when I got there, but just them talking I took the stress away.
