Dr. Krassin was born in Breckenridge, MN, where his mother still works in the same hospital he was born. He graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School, and immediately began training in their ophthalmology residency program. He gained extensive experience in refractive surgery at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA, and completed his residency ranked 9th in the country for refractive surgery volume as a primary resident surgeon.
In 2008, Dr. Krassin moved back to Minnesota and began practicing with a healthcare system in the Twin Cities metro. Within two years, he was elected Lead Ophthalmologist, and, in 2012, was promoted to Medical Director of Refractive and LASIK surgery. Dr. Krassin joined Southwest Eye Care as a partner in 2017 and opened Atlas Surgery Center in 2021. He offers a relaxed and engaging style of patient care, ensuring that they receive personalized care coupled with leading-edge technology.
When Dr. Krassin is not providing exceptional care to his patients, he spends his free time with his family enjoying the natural resources Minnesota has to offer, such as snowboarding, skiing, and boating.

I’ve been living with hemifacial spasm for several years, and finding a doctor who truly understands the condition and its impact on daily life has been a game-changer. From the first consultation, Dr. Krassin demonstrated deep expertise in treating hemifacial spasm with Botox. He took the time to explain the neurological basis of the condition, the role of facial nerve compression, and how Botox works to treat the condition. His approach was both compassionate and highly informed. The Botox injections were administered with precision and care. Dr. Krassin clearly knows the optimal injection sites and dosage to achieve the best results. Within days, I noticed a significant reduction in facial twitching and spasms. The relief lasted for several months, and I now return regularly for maintenance treatments every 3–4 months, as recommended. What sets Dr. Krassin apart is not just his clinical skill, but his genuine concern for patient well-being.
