She completed a transitional year residency at MacNeal Hospital, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Sledz then completed a fellowship in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery through the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Fellowship trained and ASOPRS fellowship trained, Dr. Sledz is also a member of Women in Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the University of New Mexico Alumni Association.
