I unfortunately have many specialists I have to see on a regular basis. Dr Esmaili is, by far, my favorite Dr of all of my Drs - not just my specialist. He is knowledgeable, kind, takes time to get to know you, adjust his approach to individual needs, funny, he’s the full package!! And….he doesn’t use eye clamps. That’s huge!! His technique allows him to keep your eye open for the shot without the uncomfortable clamp….it makes a huge difference in the experience. Seriously, I moved an hour away and I still drive to come see Dr Esmaili. And I’ve already told him when I retire he has to come with us wherever we go. LOL.

Dr. Esmaili is an accomplished author, researcher, and presenter. He has been actively involved in numerous research studies and clinical research trials, has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and is an oft-sought speaker at local and national scientific meetings.
Dr. Esmaili has received numerous awards, including being named to Super Doctors of Southern California three consecutive years. He obtained his medical degree with the highest distinction from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and completed a prestigious two-year surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (MEEI) of Harvard Medical School where he was selected as Chief vitreoretinal fellow.
