I believe the doctor knows what he is doing but the whole experience always feels like a group of cattle going to slaughter. It takes multiple hours for this facility to do what others can do in an hour. The atmosphere is not based around the patients, it about how many people he can process in a day. I really dislike the whole facility. If you dont.mind waiting three hours or more then this is your kind of place.

I don’t know what went wrong but it was awful I felt the shot that was administered into my eye ! It was so painful. This is my 5th shot but the first one with this doctor. And went I stated I felt everything and it was so painful his assistant kept repeating all injections are different. This is a day later and I can’t wash that side of my face, I can’t touch my closed eye I needed a pain pill last night.

Dr. Chan obtained his medical degree and ophthalmological training at Loma Linda University, with fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He founded the Desert Retina Consultants (SCDRC) and is the medical director of Inland Retina Consultants (IRC). Today, Dr. Chan is an associate clinical professor at Loma Linda University and is a member of the Retina Society, Macula Society, and Club Jules Gonin — national and international retina honor societies.
Dr. Chan is a passionate and accomplished researcher; he is dedicated to advancing the field of ophthalmology through involvement in clinical trials which focus on finding better treatments for our patients with sight-threatening eye diseases. Dr. Chan and his team of coordinators have been actively involved in research studies since 1995 and are proud to increase the overall standard of vision care for patients through new technologies and therapies. Additionally, Dr. Chan is extremely passionate about teaching through hands-on examples, lectures, and writing in specialty journals. Books are his passion.
