Drew had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from hand surgeons at Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Chicago, IL. He then relocated to Glendale, AZ to complete his doctoral capstone with a CHT, after which he attained a position in the field of his passion as a hand therapist. Drew has considerable experience treating crush, tendon/ligament, and peripheral nerve injuries, as well as fractures, tendinopathies, infections, burns, amputations, and neurological conditions. Drew takes pride in fabricating orthoses to restore function to the upper extremity and to the person holistically.
Drew’s extensive background in Exercise Science provides him with a strong foundation to create meaningful and individualized occupation-based interventions for his patients to regain their independence. He believes in treating others by the quote, “Occupational therapy practitioners ask, ‘What matters to you?’ not, ‘What’s the matter with you?’” – Virginia Stoffel.
In his spare time, Drew enjoys strength training and playing basketball. He also spends time caring for and relaxing with his two cats, Mimi and Lulu.
