I really like her. She listens to you. A lot of doctors talk over you. Doctors are so busy and often very preoccupied. She was present and gave me her full attention.

Svetlana is knowledgeable NP, but there were some things that didn’t sit well with me. I would describe her patient interaction skills as brusque and not particularly engaging. Further, she clearly hadn’t fully reviewed my file because she misstated by 10 years when I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Related to that is in my experience, most medical practitioners are at least mildly curious about how I survived metastatic pancreatic cancer for almost 20 years. Statistically I am an anomaly and I did things to help my system deal with the cancer and the relatively harsh chemo regime that were unusual. So, I’m always surprised when someone doesn’t at ask me me one or two questions about what I did survive a cancer that pretty successfully kills people within less than 5 years and my prognosis was definitely way shorter than 5 years given the spread of the cancer.
So, I believe she is a competent practitioner but for a patient like me I expect a greater expressed interest in me.
