Stephen Gonzales, NP

Stephen Gonzales, NP joined Gonzaba Medical Group in 2026, with more than 25 years of clinical experience. NP Gonzales is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who is dedicated to helping his patients live healthier lives. Working with the Gonzaba Medical Group primary care health team, he creates personalized care, treats ongoing health conditions, bringing extensive expertise in the prevention, management, and treatment of chronic conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and heart disease.

As a United States Marine Corps veteran, NP Stephen Gonzales compassionately educates patients on ways to stay healthy and uses proven medical practices to help his patients achieve the best possible health outcomes. Prior to joining Gonzaba, NP Gonzales worked at the Veterans Administration, San Antonio Military Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texsan Heart Hospital, and at University Medical Center in Lubbock TX.

NP Stephen Gonzales earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and his Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care, taking the time to listen to his patients and treating each individual like family.

Outside of work, NP Stephen Gonzales enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, exploring the Texas Hill Country, and relaxing at the beach.

NP Stephen Gonzales is fluent in both English and Spanish.
