Stephanie Reneau, FNP

Stephanie Reneau, FNP, is a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner. Her medical interests include Preventive Care, Diabetes, Mental Health, and Sports Medicine. Wanting to make a meaningful impact on people's lives, she chose medicine as her career.

Over the years, Stephanie has found that educating her patients and using a supportive, team-based approach provides the best outcomes. When people are empowered to take control of their diagnosis, they see significant improvements and tend to make healthier choices, exercise more, and feel better as a result.

She explains, "Being a nurse practitioner allows me to partner with patients to provide information and resources needed to empower them to improve their health and well-being."

Stephanie chose Hudson Physicians because of the collaborative environment and philosophy to patient-centered care. Hudson Physicians supports its providers to continuously learn and develop as practitioners, and to provide the best care possible to the community it serves.

Her choice to practice in Hudson, WI, was an easy one - she chose Hudson because it is a beautiful, vibrant community with a small-town feel, but still close to a large metropolitan area. Her husband grew up in Hudson, and they’ve spent a lot of time in the area as well as the surrounding area, such as Willow River State Park, so it feels like home.

As a long-time cross-country, trail, and marathon runner, she knows it's essential to carve out time each day to exercise, even if it's just for a short amount of time.

Her advice on being healthy is to prioritize yourself and your health. Set realistic goals and expectations for yourself, check in with yourself often, and keep track of your progress. Getting enough sleep will allow you to make better choices surrounding diet and exercise. Find something relaxing to do at night, preferably not in front of a screen, to help reduce stress and set the stage for a better night's sleep.
