Sara Szanzer, FNP-C, APN

Sara Szanzer, FNP-C, APN, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who provides primary pediatric care for children and families across the Madison Avenue, River Avenue, and Toms River offices. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in nursing and liberal arts and completed her graduate training at Chamberlain University. Her clinical background includes experience in geriatrics and internal medicine, contributing to a well-rounded, holistic approach to patient care.

Sara is passionate about building meaningful, long-term relationships with children and their families. She is particularly drawn to primary care pediatrics because it allows her to support families over time and play a role in establishing a strong foundation for lifelong health and wellness. Her dedication to excellence has been recognized through honors such as the Nurse Corps Scholarship and academic distinction earlier in her career.

A resident of Lakewood, New Jersey, Sara lives with her husband and their four children. Outside of the office, she enjoys biking, hiking, and reading. She views pediatric care as both a responsibility and a privilege, often reflecting that “being part of a child’s health journey—and supporting the entire family along the way—is an opportunity I truly value and appreciate.”
