Sara Cowan, CRNP, CPNP- PC, started her nursing career in pediatrics in 2015 as a registered nurse and now as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. She received her B.A. in Biology from DePauw University and continued onto Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing where she received her BSN and MSN. Before joining Frederick County Pediatrics, she worked at a pediatric practice in Montgomery County for 2 years. Sara has always had a passion for pediatric healthcare and her special interests include adolescents and mental health.
Sara was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and has lived in Maryland since she graduated college. She and her husband recently welcomed a baby boy and have put down roots in Mount Airy. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, crocheting and enjoying the outdoors!
