Hi, I’m Michelle Francis Henschel,
Women’s health isn’t just my profession—it’s part of my story. I come from a lineage of caregivers, with strong roots in OB/GYN and Jamaican district midwifery, where supporting women through every stage of life was simply what we did.
I began my career as a Labor & Delivery nurse in 2006, became a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 2017, and have been practicing as a Certified Nurse Midwife since 2019. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting women through some of the most powerful and vulnerable moments of their lives—and it’s a responsibility I never take lightly.
Originally from the East Coast, I moved to California in 2008 planning to stay just a few years—but life had other plans. I built a home here, found love, and am now the proud mother of two vibrant, spirited daughters who keep me grounded and inspired every day.
I’m deeply committed to providing care that is compassionate, evidence-based, and rooted in respect. I believe in advocating for women, honoring their autonomy, and creating a space where they feel heard, supported, and empowered.
I’m truly excited to meet you and be part of your care at Capital OB/GYN.
