Michael Luttrell, FNP-BC, is a California native who honorably served in the US Navy for over 7 years. He spent most of his time in the Navy working as a Hospital Corpsman and Surgical Technologist. Michael worked closely with US Marines and Navy personnel in hospitals, on ships, and in the field, including several combat deployments in the Middle East and Southeast Asia regions.
In addition to his dedicated military service, he acquired certification as a surgical first assistant and obtained a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Trident University International. He continued his education, completing his certifications as a registered nurse and registered nurse first assistant. He then earned his Master of Science in Nursing degree and Family Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of Hawaii and his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Hawaii Pacific University.
After completing his education, Michael joined the largest orthopaedic practice in Hawaii. He worked with three joint replacement surgeons and co-created and directed Hawaii’s first outpatient total joint replacement program. He joined Orthopaedic Medical Group in the summer of 2022 and will work with Dr. Scott Goldsmith and the total joint replacement team.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies and sports, lifting weights, traveling, walking his dog, and spending time with his wife and son.
