Maura Heath, FNP-BC is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology with a passion for providing high-quality care to her patients. Born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Georgia, Maura’s journey into the healthcare field began early and was deeply shaped by her unique multicultural upbringing and commitment to nursing excellence.
Maura’s educational journey took a distinctive path. At the age of 9, her family moved to Guatemala, where she spent the next five years immersed in the culture and language of the country. During this formative period, she became fluent in Spanish, a skill that would later prove invaluable in her nursing career, enabling her to serve a diverse range of patients with ease and compassion.
Maura earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Chamberlain University, where her passion for patient care was nurtured. Following obtaining her degree, she worked at Grady Memorial Hospital from 2020 – 2023 as a Registered Nurse in their Trauma Intensive Care Unit. From 2021- 2024, Maura has traveled locally in the metro Atlanta Area as an ICU Registered Nurse, allowing her to complete locum assignments with Emory Healthcare and Piedmont Healthcare. Her commitment to advancing knowledge led her to return to Chamberlain for her Master of Science in Advanced Nursing Practice, where she honed her skills in cardiology and critical care nursing and graduating in May 2024.
Outside of her professional life, Maura is married with five children. Maura is a well-rounded individual who enjoys a variety of hobbies like reading, cooking, and playing soccer.
