Matthew Sturzenegger, PNP

Matthew Sturzenegger, PNP is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in primary care. He brings a wealth of experience across emergency, surgical, and outpatient settings, delivering evidence-based, compassionate care to children and families.

Matthew earned his Master of Science in Nursing from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Utah. His clinical background includes direct pediatric care in high-acuity environments such as Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital, where he served on the cardiothoracic surgical team.

His scope of practice includes managing both acute and chronic pediatric conditions, including asthma and ADHD. With a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, simulation-based education, and interdisciplinary collaboration, Matthew is known for his clinical judgment, communication skills, and leadership in patient care.

In addition to his clinical work, Matthew has contributed to medical education as a simulation teaching assistant and pediatric research recruiter. He remains active in volunteer work, with a focus on health education and community service.

Certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, Matthew is passionate about advancing pediatric healthcare through empathy, precision, and lifelong learning.
