Mason Alexander Wade, CRNP, FNP-C, a native of Mobile, Alabama, began his healthcare career in the Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department at USA University Hospital. He later advanced to critical care nursing at Mobile Infirmary’s ICU, where he served as Charge Nurse, Code Blue Captain, and a member of the Rapid Response Team.
After years of caring for critically ill adults in acute care settings, NP Wade pursued advanced training to provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages across the lifespan: pediatrics, women’s health, and adults. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, he integrates long-standing clinical practices with the latest evidence-based guidelines to deliver individualized, high-quality care.
He pursued his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and holds a certification in Advanced Hepatitis C Management from the University of Washington. He is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
In addition to traditional primary care, NP Wade has specialized experience in the prevention and treatment of HIV, hepatitis C, complex sexually transmitted infections, and travel medicine.
NP Wade is an active community health advocate. He has volunteered at the 15th Place Health Clinic in Mobile, AL, and with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama, where his passion for community-based care first developed. He also enjoys mentoring future nurse practitioners and physicians as a clinical preceptor for the University of South Alabama and the University of Mobile.
