She was nice but didn’t ask any questions about my concerns. She seemed to speed through my exams, medical history and gave me no follow up info. It felt like I was just a check the box appointment and a little dismissive of my questions when asked.

Lori is excellent. Very kind, patient and through.
Lori Ruman, CRNP, NP-C, moved to Idaho from the San Francisco Bay Area in 1981, drawn by her love of skiing and a desire for new adventures. She initially settled in Boise before relocating to Pocatello to study Nutrition and Dietetics with a minor in Biology at Idaho State University (ISU). While at ISU, she was inspired by Nurse Practitioner Carol Morgan's unique and personable approach to healthcare, solidifying her decision to pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Biology, Lori fast-tracked her nursing degree, joining the first NP class at ISU. As a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she chose to specialize in Women's Health. Over her 25-year nursing career, Lori has found immense satisfaction in caring for women through all stages of their lives, and feels honored when patients entrust her with the care of their daughters and granddaughters. She values truly knowing her patients, understanding their medical histories and psychosocial environments. Her particular interests include preventive women's health, menopausal management, young women's health, and health education, with a focus on STD prevention and contraception.
Outside of her practice, Lori embraces the vast Idaho outdoors, enjoying activities like skiing, river adventures, biking, and gardening. Music is also a passion she incorporates into her daily life. She is a proud mother of two boys and two active dogs—a swimming-loving Border Collie and a Chihuahua/Boston mix who acts as a lifeguard—often found by a river or pond.
