Lisa believed my pain and gave a specialist referral. However, she was about to leave without offering any advice on what to do in the meantime or clear explanations on what she thought the issue was. It was only because I kept asking for details on what my condition was and how to manage it that she stayed longer than five minutes with me, and a good amount of that time was with her literally standing up with one hand on the door. In the end, I still left with a very fuzzy understanding of my condition as she rushed off to the next patient.
Judging by the many great reviews here, Lisa may be a knowledgeable and capable NP, but the system is not set up for her to spend enough time with all assigned patients.
