Saved my life and my sanity.
She is a nurse practitioner in psychiatry so my first appointment was an hour long. Before I got there I was wondering what I could possibly say to her to fill up that hour. However, during that appointment with her, we talked about so much stuff that hadn't even crossed my mind in recent years. It was kinda cathartic to talk to her about tough things from the past. She is very easy to talk to and incredibly smart. We talked the whole time. When the time was up I could have kept talking. My reason for seeing her was to treat my anxiety/panic disorder and she gave me a medicine that you put under your tongue if you're feeling anxious. I've been using it for anxiety for 3 weeks now and it works great. I have another appointment in a few days and I'm looking forward to seeing her. When I was referred to a psychiatric practitioner I had my doubts about even going but as it turned out, it was the best thing I have done for my health and wellbeing in a very long time.
