Lawrence Kennard, FNP-BC

Lawrence Kennard, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in emergency and primary care. A Newport, Tennessee native, Lawrence began his healthcare career in Eastern North Carolina, serving as a paramedic and certified firefighter with multiple agencies.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University, followed by his BSN from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. His clinical experience includes work at Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Walk-In Clinics and contract care through the Indian Health Service on the Navajo Nation.

Outside of work, Lawrence enjoys spending time on his small homestead and is a licensed pilot with an instrument rating. His diverse background and dedication to patient care make him a valuable part of the Healthstar Premier Medical team.
