My husband took my mother to her appointment. He said the NP was overly energetic for my mother who has severe dementia. She kept asking my mother questions about herself, which my husband explained multiple times that she can't articulate for herself and she's easily overwhelmed and confused. The NP responded by saying that my mother's notes said "moderate dementia" which is wrong. My husband felt the NP didn't listen when he explained the situation. On top of that there seemed to be confusion about paperwork that had already been signed that's preventing my mother from being assigned a new PCP. Frustrating visit for my mother and my husband.
