Kristina McGahan, MSN, APRN, WHNP-BC, brings over two decades of hands-on experience in maternal health to the High Risk Pregnancy Center. Her career began as a labor and delivery nurse—a role she remained dedicated to throughout her clinical journey. Now, as a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Kristina continues her lifelong mission of supporting women through every phase of pregnancy and beyond.
Inspired by a family legacy in medicine and a deep-rooted desire to care for others, Kristina has guided more than a thousand women through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery. She is known for her deep compassion, evidence-based approach, and commitment to shared decision-making. Patients appreciate her warm, respectful demeanor and her focus on education, which she views as essential to empowering women to make informed healthcare choices.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kristina temporarily paused her graduate studies to homeschool her two children—an experience that strengthened her resolve to return with even greater purpose. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College in 2024 and holds board certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Kristina is a recipient of the 2017 March of Dimes Maternal Health Nurse of the Year award and is an active member of AANP, AWHONN, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Outside of work, Kristina enjoys spending time with her family, reading legal thrillers, and engaging in memorable animal encounters—having kissed a camel, petted a shark, and fed a giraffe. She also finds axe-throwing a surprisingly relaxing way to unwind.
She is honored to join the High Risk Pregnancy Center and looks forward to continuing her work in providing respectful, unbiased, and deeply compassionate care to every woman she serves.
