Kristen has a special passion for supporting families during pregnancy and the postpartum period, and her clinical interests include autism—particularly in adolescent girls—as well as anxiety, OCD, and depression. She is known for integrating creativity into her practice, offering a holistic and individualized approach to care.
In addition to her clinical work, Kristen has spent the past six years teaching neonatal physical assessments to medical students from the University of North Carolina and Campbell University. Originally from Massachusetts, she earned her undergraduate nursing degree from Boston College in 2000.
Outside of her professional life, Kristen is an avid traveler and lover of the arts. Her adventures have taken her around the globe to destinations such as Norway, Australia, Fiji, Costa Rica, Italy, and the Caribbean. She enjoys Pilates, all things creative, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
There is such an importance in listening to parents. Our child has been treated for adhd for years and on the second visit, the doctor wanted to change everything that has been in place for a year now and we are seeing success with. By not listening to parents that are very involved in their child’s care, it strains the relationship that could be established. The history of our child is important and we have worked very hard to work with her doctors to make decisions to help her be successful. This was not taken into account at all and we felt unheard so we will be changing doctors again.
