I never did get my referral for a neurosurgeon. With on going issues with side effects I attempted to explain the issue with the muscle relaxer and suggested a muscle relaxer i knew i could tolerate Kimberly, huffed with laughter and screeched, I'm not going to perscribe those to you. She suggested a shot. When I've discussed past issues with my experiences with ablation, eprahdurals, or sticking needles in my spine. She allowed me to leave without a solution for the muscle relaxers. Leaving me in extem pain, that affects every aspect of my life.

She always listens and tries to better help me through. Came in yesterday said ya know my right knee really hurts lately…. She did an exam and thinks I have arthritis there (new spot for me) I have Lyme Disease so it’s not surprising. Was diagnosed with Lyme arthritis many years ago. She offered some options, answered questions but also understands I can’t use steroids with my immune issues. Recommend her to everyone. Just a kind, caring energy. I also can see she can take care of business when needed! Don’t mistake kindness for weakness.

Kimberly Koerner, APRN has worked as an orthopaedic nurse practitioner in Reno since 2009. She is experienced in diagnosing and treating orthopedic conditions and osteoporosis. Kimberly is passionate about helping patients achieve their health goals and improve their quality of life. Nurse practitioners (NPs) evaluate patients by examining medical histories; performing physical exams; and sending orders for diagnostic tests. In diagnosing patients, nurse practitioners give particular attention to patient specific risk factors along with the unique needs of patients and their families. Nurse practitioners at SpineNevada work with the physician team to develop customized treatment plans and provide necessary treatment follow-up. NPs complete on-going continuing education (CE) to stay informed of technological, methodological, and other developments in their field. Nurse practitioners not only serve as healthcare providers to patients, but also act as community mentors and educators.
