APRN Perez began her nursing career in 2008 and became a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2016. Her decision to pursue advanced practice nursing grew from a desire to make a greater impact in the lives of children and their families. She has always loved caring for children and found that becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner allowed her to combine her nursing background with advanced clinical knowledge while continuing to provide compassionate, family-centered care.
For APRN Perez, pediatrics is about much more than treating an illness. She enjoys watching children grow, supporting families through each stage of development and helping young patients establish healthy habits that can last a lifetime. She especially appreciates the personality, honesty and joy that children bring to each day.
Her approach to patient care is compassionate, thorough and family-centered. APRN Perez believes parents know their children best and considers listening to their concerns an essential part of every visit. She strives to create an environment where families feel comfortable asking questions and leaving each appointment with a clear understanding of not only what is happening with their child’s health, but why. APRN Perez is fluent in Spanish and cares for patients in both English and Spanish.
As a military spouse who also grew up in a military family, APRN Perez understands the unique experiences of military families. She and her husband of 11 years have four children, as well as a young granddaughter.
Outside of work, APRN Perez enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and baking. A self-described “Disney adult,” she especially enjoys family trips to Disney and Universal. Before pursuing a career in healthcare, she dreamed of becoming a marine biologist and still has a special love for dolphins. She is also a former cheer coach.
