Katherine Kiesel is amazing! Her bedside manner is exceptional, she is so knowledgeable and correctly and quickly diagnosed my 5 year old's strep throat even though it had a little bit of an unorthodox way. She is wonderful!

We can’t say enough wonderful things about NP Kiesel. From the very beginning, she has made every visit such a positive experience. Her personality is warm, genuine, and incredibly reassuring, and her bedside manner is truly exceptional.
As a parent, it means so much to feel heard and supported, and she always puts me completely at ease. She takes the time to listen, answer every question, and make sure we feel confident about our child’s care. It’s clear how much she genuinely cares about her patients and their families.

Katherine Kiesel, CPNP, is a local who comes from the small coastal town of McClellanville, South Carolina.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Psychology at the College of Charleston and a Bachelor's of Nursing from USC Upstate, Katie started a career as a registered nurse at MUSC Children's Hospital.
While working there, she obtained a Master's of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina to become a Nurse Practitioner in Pediatric Primary Care.
After 10 plus years in Pediatric Acute Care and 5 plus years in Pediatric Primary Care, Katie joins Sweetgrass Pediatrics to continue to focus on health promotion and maintenance of pediatric populations. Katie and her husband Chris live in Mt. Pleasant with their daughters Nora and Hadley. They enjoy living in the Lowcountry and all it has to offer, with boating, beach, fishing, tennis, biking, and live music.
