Katherine Kiesel, CPNP, is a local who comes from the small coastal town of McClellanville, South Carolina.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Psychology at the College of Charleston and a Bachelor's of Nursing from USC Upstate, Katie started a career as a registered nurse at MUSC Children's Hospital.
While working there, she obtained a Master's of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina to become a Nurse Practitioner in Pediatric Primary Care.
After 10 plus years in Pediatric Acute Care and 5 plus years in Pediatric Primary Care, Katie joins Sweetgrass Pediatrics to continue to focus on health promotion and maintenance of pediatric populations. Katie is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
Katie and her husband Chris live in Mt. Pleasant with their daughters Nora and Hadley. They enjoy living in the Lowcountry and all it has to offer, with boating, beach, fishing, tennis, biking, and live music.
