This provider had a poor attitude: and gaslighted me about my daughter’s condition. My daughter was having allergic reactions for a week and a half and was needing Benadryl daily to prevent to progression of the reaction. The reaction was limited to one body system thankfully so I felt comfortable managing it at home. We had began cutting things out but were unsure what was causing the reaction. By the time we got the appointment, my daughter’s reactions had stopped 1.5 days ago. The length of reaction was my concern. She also appeared annoyed that I didn’t have a picture of the reaction. I explained my daughter had urticaria (hives) and itching. She essentially told me she couldn’t do anything or tell me what it was because I didn’t have a picture and she wasn’t actively having hives. As a healthcare provider myself, I knew the issue and just needed a referral to the allergist which I got an attitude about and told it would be 6-8 months so there’s no point. Poor bedside manner.
