I assumed I was more of an inconvenience and she didn’t want to help me with my criticalresults. She wanted to help the next patient.

She graduated in 2021 from Loma Linda University as a DNP Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She recently passed the Advanced Diabetes Management board certification exams.
In 1988, while working at the American Diabetes Association as a secretary, McDuffie saw a need for people to learn more about diabetes management. She believes health is vitally important and enjoys having the opportunity to help others improve their quality of life with health education focused on prevention, wellness, and health promotion.
Dr. McDuffie chose to work at a community health center as she wanted to be part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Her focus is patient-centered care to meet the individualized needs of each person in her care.
Displaying respect and kindness while empowering everyone to take control of their health, she believes involving patients in a holistic (mind, body, and spirit) approach to care is essential for their quality of living.
When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dog Memphis, playing cards (bid whist), and bike riding.
