Julie Nhem, NP, is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, nationally accredited by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She works alongside Dr. Tian where she specializes in the evaluation and conservative management of spine conditions. Julie began her nursing career by earning her associate degree in nursing from the Community College of Rhode Island. She continued her education at the University of Rhode Island, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. Her early professional experience includes serving on the Infectious Disease team at Thundermist Health Center, providing care to patients living with HIV, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, and other infectious diseases. She later advanced into a leadership position, overseeing the Family Medicine Practice and managing residency programs for Family Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. Prior to joining University Orthopedics, Julie worked as a nurse case manager at the Rhode Island School of Design’s Student Health Clinic, supporting the health and wellness of a diverse student population.
