Jessica Fennewald has been a lifesaver. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t found her. My (previous) GP was reluctant to help me with my liver issues. I had nearly given up hope. But then a friend told me about a study being conducted by Karen Simon’s group. I was ineligible for the study, but the information I received from them lead me to Jessica Finnewald in the same office. I’m so grateful it did. She immediately understood my problems and put a treatment plan in place. She was familiar with the medications on the market and helped me find a balance that solved my problems with minimal side effects. She’s an excellent communicator and works closely with my pharmacy and my new GP to make sure I’m getting comprehensive care. And she’s done all of this while battling my insurance company who doesn’t want to cover any of it! I could not ask for better care, and I’m so grateful. I feel healthier now than I have in YEARS.

Jessica completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at University of Missouri-Columbia in 2004. She started practicing at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri in the telemetry/Intensive Care Unit. Shortly after, she completed her Master’s degree at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2010. She went on to work in pain management but made the change to gastroenterology in 2013. Additionally, she was trained in Hepatitis C treatment at a teaching facility at KU Med.
Jessica obtained her Advanced Practice degree from Maryville University in the Adult Nurse Practitioner program. She is a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
