Jessica Canaday, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has always had a love and passion for providing pediatric care. As a young girl, she babysat in the community. When she went to nursing school, she knew she would end up working in a setting that involved kids. She went to school at Northern Kentucky University where she received her BSN. After college, she moved to South Carolina and worked at the Medical University of South Carolina in the NICU and in the Pediatric ICU float pool. She went to the Medical University of South Carolina where she received her Masters in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. While in school, she did a clinical rotation at a pediatric primary care and absolutely loved it. She has worked the last year as an NP in an Urgent Care setting seeing adults and kids with acute illnesses. She knew she wanted to pursue her passion and work with kids again.
She currently lives in Ladson, SC with her husband, son and dog. When she is not working she enjoys reading fiction and spending time with her family and friends.
