Jennifer Dao Barajas, APRN, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at the High Risk Pregnancy Center (HRPC). Her nursing journey was deeply personal; after being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a college freshman, she experienced firsthand the challenges of a fragmented healthcare system. Inspired by the empathetic care she received from nurses during her own hospitalization, she dedicated her career to providing that same compassionate, holistic support to others.
Jennifer graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor’s degree and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Before joining HRPC in 2017, she gained valuable clinical experience as a Registered Nurse at Valley Hospital.
Jennifer believes that with the right care and a collaborative approach, every woman can achieve her dream of a healthy pregnancy. She is committed to ensuring her patients never feel like they are "losing their identity" to a diagnosis, but rather feel empowered to manage it successfully.
Outside of the clinic, Jennifer values spending quality time with her husband and their two children, enjoying the family life that HRPC helped her achieve.
