I have an extensive family history of Liver problems from my Grandfather and his sister to my father who had a liver transplant not caused by alcohol and I at 26 years old have a diagnosis of NASH. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to make life style change and lose weight because that is more likely the cause of my problem. My last provider that is not at the clinic anymore was more worried about the family history than the weight. I have already made the life style changes and I am making progress on my weight. The other thing is I told her that when my sister did a abdominal assessment on me for nursing school and told my my liver is firm and they were told it isn't supposed to be I had my father check who is a nurse and has been for 25+ years and confirmed it's firm and not supposed to be and I am a paramedic was taught that it is not supposed to be. She blew it off and did not examine, I also told her that I am having sharp pains in the liver and she blew that off as well.
