Janice Cooper was born and raised in the Bay Area. She received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and Masters in Nursing from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland. She is an AANP board certified Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing since 2007. She started her career at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center in the neurosurgery spine department where she saw patients with neck and lower back pain conditions from disc degenerative diseases, spinal tumors to spinal deformities. She then joined Sports Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Medical Group in 2011 where she saw patients with general shoulder, knees, hips, elbow, hand and foot conditions. Janice has extensive experience with the pre and post-operative support care of patients undergoing shoulder, knee, hip, elbow, and hand surgeries. Janice is also skilled in therapeutic injections of the shoulders, knees, and hands. She joined Silicon Valley Orthopaedics in 2019 and is excited to provide culturally conscious patient care, educate and empower patients with their orthopedic conditions and to treat the people in the community she grew up in. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her hobbies include cooking, dancing, gardening, and traveling.
