6 mos. ago I set up care with IGA, and Holly was the one who did all my intake. Seeing her 4/3/26, she didn’t seem to have looked at my chart ahead of time, the post visit notes in my Portal, she indicated she had never seen me before! She couldn’t find results of an endoscopy I had 7 mos. ago, even though I’d transferred records from Oregon to IGA. I asked why bloodwork hadn’t been ordered ahead of the visit, no real answer except to give me a paper to get bloodwork done in Baker City when I returned home. She reiterated my diagnosis (which I’ve known for 5 years now) asked if I had any questions (bloodwork) and told me to see my PCP regarding a massive head cold I currently have. Seems like a NP could have addressed it while I was there. All in all it was a waste of a 200 mile round trip drive for me to go to this appointment ! Guess I’m used to the care I received in Bend, OR, which after I moved to Baker City I could no longer make a 400 mi RT & had to change providers to IGA.

Holly is an excellent listener and skilled clinician. Holly is willing to explain procedures, test results, and possible interventions, in a way that ls understandable to the lay person. I would rank her communication skills as exceptional.

I had been scheduled to see Dr. Jaeger. For some reason my appointment time was changed and the provider was also chanced to Holly Hamner. No one told me why. Why was I put with a new to me provider I had not seen before? I was not impressed with her. She shot down almost everything I said. I felt like I was on the defense trying to discuss my concerns with her.
