Hayley Mills, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, works with Electrophysiologist, Dr. Mark J. Shen. Her prior clinical experience includes working as an Acute Care Registered Nurse on Medical/Telemetry/Surgical inpatient unit for seven years at Genesis Medical Center.
Hayley attended Carl Sandburg College, Galesburg, Illinois, and received her Associate's Degree in Nursing in 2014. She furthered her education at the University of Illinois-Chicago, graduating with a Doctor of Nursing Practice and completing the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program in 2021. Hayley also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biopsychology from Monmouth College in 2012.
Hayley is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Golden Key International Honour Society, American Nurses Association, Quad Cities APN/PA Alliance, and the American Heart Association.
Hayley has received the Daisy Award, a patient-nominated recognition of a nurse’s compassion and skills. She presented her doctorate project at multiple conferences, including the Mayo Clinic and the University of Iowa.
Hayley’s professional interests include providing quality care related to arrhythmia management, various device therapies, and Watchman procedures, as well as learning about current cardiovascular research topics.
