Ginger Richard completed her Master’s in Nursing Administration from WGU and finished a post-Master's as a Nurse Practitionerin 2019 at Indiana Wesleyan. She started working at Woodlawn in 2011 in the universal care unit and emergency department. Thankfully, she returned in 2022 to Woodlawn as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
“Woodlawn has a feeling of home. It’s the place where you are always greeted with a smile. The longevity of the employees sums it all up,” she said.
When asked what she likes about family medicine, she responded. “Family practice allows one to care for the patient through their lifespan. It is important for the patient to be involved in all their healthcare decisions, which includes understanding all aspects of their diagnoses and plan of care.”
You will find her outdoors biking or taking care of her goats when she is not treating patients. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her family.
She’s wonderful to work with.
